Brooke Oleksy, the daughter of Hulk Hogan, has responded to people who condemned her for missing her father’s WWE homage.
The legendary wrestler’s death at age 71 was declared on July 24. It is thought that he had a heart arrest at home in Florida.
Hogan’s family went on to confirm the news of his passing in a statement. It read: “It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we confirm we have lost a legend. Our beloved Terry Bollea, known worldwide as Hulk Hogan, passed away today surrounded by his loved ones.”
“At this time of grief, we ask that everyone please respect the privacy of his family and friends. May we all take solace in the wonderful memories he left behind for the millions of fans worldwide whose lives he touched for more than four decades.”
“He will be missed, but never forgotten.”
His status as ‘one of pop culture’s most recognisable icons’ was also stated in a statement released by WWE. In doing so, he contributed to the production company’s “global recognition in the 1980s.”

Hogan is survived by his wife of two years, Sky Daily, and his two children, Nick and Brooke, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Linda Hogan.
Nick was present at WWE’s Monday Night Raw on July 29, which began with a 10-bell salute to Hogan.
However, Brooke and her brother were not present on Monday, and it seems that she was chastised for her absence.
The late WWE legend was also honoured on Friday Night SmackDown.
Addressing her absence, the 37-year-old said on her Instagram Story, “For those of you giving me crap for not attending my dad’s tributes, @wwe did not extend an invite.”
In another piece, Brooke wrote a moving ode to her father that denied rumours that they had drifted apart.
Sharing a compilation of photos with Hogan, she wrote: “My Dearest Daddy, You were my everything, and I will always be your girl. I am PROUD to be your daughter—for all the love, light, and goodness you brought into this world. Thank you for choosing me in this lifetime, and for loving me so deeply.”
“Our bond is eternal. That truth brings me comfort and hope, even in your absence. I love you more than all the stars in the sky, 4LifeAfterLife.”
‘Forever yours, Brooke’ was her caption for the heartfelt post.
Brooke maintained that her relationship with her father “was never broken” and that it was “deeper than words” in a longer message that she posted to her Instagram.
“I’m so grateful I got to know the real version of him,” she continued to write. “Not just the one the world viewed through a carefully curated lens.”
